Jarrett was recently named a 2026 State Winner of the High School Heart of the Arts Award. This award is presented by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) to students and performing arts educators who overcome challenges or use performing arts to uplift others.
Jarrett and the Austin Vandegrift Marching Band were nominated for the Heart of the Arts Award for their excellence, resilience and sportsmanship after a devastating equipment loss en route to the UIL State Contest in 2025.
